Fish Tackle Boxes come in just about every style and size imaginable today, from a pocket pack, a complete organizing system to a duffle bag with utility boxes to organize all your tackle. Pocket Packs are good if you only need to carry a few things to the river or stream. Another one from the past that has really evolved is fly fishing boxes. Today they are available in everything from a pocket pack to a belt mate. They are made of foam or plastic and come in a variety of sizes from small, medium and large.

Boat fisherman prefer a larger tackle box to carry all the necessities with them for a day or a weekend on the lake. Tray Boxes just like the ones from days gone by are available in one, two, three trays or even a whole complete organizing system. Like the 3500 series offered by Plano. Tackle Boxes are made by brand names you know and trust like Plano, Flambeau and South Bend just to name a few. Another new one offered to are the Plano R2F series or Ready to Fish, these include tackle in various amounts from 62 pieces to 136 piece assortments all ready to go. South Bend also offers a 88 pieces worm gear tackle box.

Duffle Bag tackle boxes are just that. A duffle bag some come with plastic utility boxes to organize all your tackle. Extra outside pocket can hold various accessories. From a pair of UV protection sunglasses, a pair gloves, or that cap your need to keep the sun off your face.

Satchel Boxes are some of the ones I remember. They are two sided. You lay them down flat and flip them from one side to the other because both sides open to hold what ever tackle you need.

The newest invention is the bucket lid tackle boxes. For an afternoon at the local fishing spot all you need is a fishing pole, a bucket and a Bucket Lid Tackle Box. They fit right on top of the bucket just like a lid and have compartments that open for your tackle. Some even include fishing tackle.

So in conclusion. Weather your going fishing for the day, just a afternoon or a weekend on the lake. Having a Fish Tackle Box is a must. Deciding what size and style you need may be as simple as how many people are going fishing or how long you plan to stay. Either way enjoy a favorite pass time with friends or family and make sure you have a Fish Tackle Box for those minor repairs needed from a broken line to a lost hook.
